Wellness Centre Project Update by Randall Howard - YMCA Project Manager
We’re delighted with the progress made at the new YMCA Wellness Centre over the last four weeks. Below is a recap of the recent activity that’s taken place!
- Over 90% of the demolition work has been completed with more than 600 tonnes of material taken off site
- Structural foundation work underway to be completed in the coming weeks
- Over 2300 labour hours worked on site
- 120 Aboriginal participation hours on site
- Concrete slab preparation work underway
- Local contractors engaged for the following works;
- asbestos removal
- demolition and excavation
- electrical
- structural steel
- plumbing
The project remains on track for completion by the end of 2018 and we’ll provide more information as it comes to hand.
