Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre is set to temporarily close its 25m indoor pool for essential upgrades starting Friday, April 4, 2025. The closure is expected to last until the end of September 2025.
The upgrades are critical to maintaining the high standards of the facility and will involve several key improvements, including:
- Removal and replacement of existing pool tiles.
- Replacement of key structural components, such as joists.
- Stainless steel cleaning and corrosion protection.
During the closure, all programs that were previously held in the 25m pool will be relocated to other pools within the facility:
- Aqua Aerobics will move to the 50m pool.
- Swim programs including Shark level, Dolphin level, Tuna level, Development, Bronze, Silver Squad, and Adult and Junior Swim Fit will also transition to the 50m pool.
- Additional updates regarding swim school levels will be communicated by March 31, 2025.
While the 25m pool undergoes renovations, the remainder of the centre will remain open, allowing members to continue enjoying the other amenities and activities available.
Membership Suspension Options Available
For members who wish to pause their memberships during this period, a Suspension Request Form can be completed via the centre’s website. However, please note that swimming lessons cannot be suspended for the duration of the closure. To avoid being charged for the upcoming direct debit payment on April 4, 2025, suspension requests must be submitted prior to this date.
The Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates members' understanding as these important upgrades are completed.
