YMCA Penrith will be serving up a day of activities and tasty treats for local residents at their upcoming Family Fun Day. The event runs from 2pm to 6pm Saturday September 20 at YMCA Penrith, 1 Pattys Pl Penrith.
"Local families often struggle to spend quality time together due to time and financial pressures. This will be a fun place for families to enjoy a day with a wide range of free activities with others in their local community. We will have plenty of options to keep their kids entertained. From a live reptile show, face painting and a variety of active play including our new jumping castle, free time gymnastics and kids fitness games," said Samantha Cosgrove, Centre Manager at YMCA Penrith.
Other events include prizes and a variety of food options with a BBQ, fairy floss machine, Slurpee machine, cake and more to delight big and little taste buds alike.
People of all ages are invited to attend. A gold coin donation will provide a day full of fun and help support their local Y.

In addition to an afternoon of family fun, YMCA Penrith will have staff on hand to promote healthy lifestyle choices for all ages. "As a centre, we believe it is important to encourage everyone to be active. A greater number of people in greater Penrith are overweight or obese compared to the NSW average. A person who is overweight or obese has a greater chance of developing diabetes, heart disease or some cancers. To help facilitate this we will have a special offer on the day," said Samantha Cosgrove, Centre Manager at YMCA Penrith.
YMCA Penrith will have a special offer on the day with a bonus of two free weeks of membership as well as three 30 minute personal training sessions.
