Age is no barrier to keeping fit, being healthy and having a social life at Ryde Community Sports Centre.
During Seniors Week (14 – 22 March) Ryde Community Sports Centre will be providing a variety of active options, followed by a free morning tea to reward seniors for keeping active together so they can be fit and healthy. Class times during seniors week:
- PrYme Movers at 10.05am Tuesday 17 March, followed by a free morning tea at 11am
- Tai Chi at 10.30am Wednesday 18 March, followed by a free morning tea at 11.30am
- PrYme Movers at 10.05am followed by a free morning tea at 11.30am
"At the YMCA, we're committed to providing opportunities for everyone to live healthier, happier lifestyles. Seniors Week represents an opportunity to provide seniors with an opportunity to do so, at no cost to them," said centre manager, David Fletcher.
The centre is ideal for seniors, a modern stadium facility with two courts, and a large climate controlled room for group fitness classes, and a café with abundant views of leafy ELS Hall Park, providing a perfect backdrop for socialising seniors.
"The YMCA is well known for our PrYme programming for seniors, and we are pleased to be offering local seniors an opportunity to try these classes for free during Seniors Week," said Mr. Fletcher.
