About Us
The Y NSW is a for-purpose organisation and manages 31 recreation centres throughout NSW and the ACT, including facilities in the neighbouring local government regions of the MidCoast and Bellingen Shire. We have a proud history - spanning almost 170 years - of delivering integrated community wellbeing, health and aquatic programming, as well as Outside School Hours Care.
Above all else, we are an organisation that believes in the power of inspired young people. We seek to create positive change through community programs that not only benefit young people, but also give them a chance to make a difference. This also means maintaining the highest standards of child safeguarding. By putting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people at the heart of everything the Y does, we can support them to live their best lives.
Learn to Swim
There will be a short break in the Learn to Swim program, with no swimming lessons scheduled from Monday 25 April to Friday 6 May.
Learn to Swim lessons will recommence on Saturday 7 May at Wauchope Memorial Pool.
Fees will remain the same, with the first fortnightly direct debit to occur on Friday 6 May. We are working to engage and retain the familiar faces of the current team and will endeavour to keep your child's class and time, as well as teacher allocation, the same.
Aquatics programs
Great news for aqua aerobics participants – timetables will remain the same and all classes will continue as normal.
We have also begun the recruitment process for a suitably qualified and experienced Head Coach for swim squads and are working with relevant stakeholders on this.
