Our practice
We’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment where children can engage in a wide range of experiences.
Our experienced educators work with the My Time Our Place curriculum to tailor programs for each child we care for. It’s an evidence based framework that emphasises the benefits of providing children with a broad range of experiences.
We encourage our children to help plan their own activities and menus. And we also welcome feedback from parents and carers in shaping the experiences we offer at our OSHC.
Our educators undergo a rigorous recruitment process and must:
- have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- pass a criminal history check
- have first aid qualifications.
We ensure all our educators satisfy regulatory requirements and work to best practices by providing regular professional development. Our services are all licensed and monitored to comply with the National Quality Framework. We also take part in ratings and assessments administered by the Early Childhood Education Directorate (ECECD).
Work for us
The Y’s Children’s Services is always looking for passionate educators and coordinators for our OSHC centres.
