The Y is proud to have been a participant in the NSW Government's Before and After School Care Voucher program! This scheme has now ended, and vouchers are no longer being accepted.
Who is eligible for the BASC voucher?
Your child must be a resident of NSW, aged between 4 and 13 years, enrolled in a primary school in NSW, and be listed on a valid Medicare card.
Families can apply for one voucher per child, provided each child meets the eligibility criteria.
When can I apply for a voucher?
What can the voucher be used for?
How long do I have to use the voucher?
You must claim your voucher from Service NSW by 31 January 2023. Vouchers must be redeemed with your OSHC provider (the Y) by 31 January 2023.
Voucher credits that are applied to your account can then be used for attendances up until 30 June 2023.
How do I apply for the voucher?
Check your eligibility on the Service NSW website and click ‘apply online’. Log in or create your MyServiceNSW Account. Follow the prompts to apply for your voucher.
If successful, you will find the voucher under the ‘Vouchers’ section in the Service NSW app and in your MyServiceNSW Account.
You’ll also receive an email from Service NSW with the voucher available to download or print. If you’re unable to apply online, you can apply at a service centre soon.
How do I redeem my voucher with the Y NSW?
How will my credit reflect on my account?
Can I use the voucher at different providers or services?
What happens if the family leaves the service? What does the service do with the voucher?
Families will unfortunately forfeit any unused funds if they leave the provider, as the funds are non-transferrable. At the end of the program, the NSW Government will seek repayment of funds not used by parents.
In the event you need to cancel your permanent enrolment, unused credit will remain on your account until 30 June 2023 and can be used at any of the 53 Y OSHC locations across NSW for casual attendance or Vacation Care.
