Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Sydney

Duke of Edinburgh Services & Programs

The Y NSW is thrilled to announce our exciting partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia which aims to provide crucial support to our community's young people. At Y NSW we believe in the transformative power of programs like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in nurturing the potential of young people. We have a shared mission of empowering young individuals to develop their skills, resilience, and a sense of belief. This aligns perfectly with our core belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive.

As part of our commitment, Y NSW is diligently working towards accreditation as an approved award centre. Becoming a Duke of Ed Award Centre further solidifies our dedication to fostering personal development and community engagement among the young people we serve. Together with the Duke of Ed, we aim to inspire and enable young people to reach their full potential, creating a brighter future for all. From 9 October 2023, young people completing their Duke of Ed can participate in activities at the Y Caringbah and Epping that count towards the Sections of the Award – specifically focusing on Physical Recreation.

At the Y Caringbah and Epping, we offer a wide range of fitness classes and activities to choose from including weights, Zumba, aerobics, yoga and more.

If you are aged 14 to 24 years and currently completing your Duke of Ed, visit our Y Caringbah and Epping centres to find out more.
