In response to the continuing bushfire crisis, all NSW and ACT RFS volunteer firefighters are invited to access the Y NSW’s pools and gyms free of charge this summer.
“At times of national disaster, the Y’s role is to support our local communities. Our firefighters are heroes and have been placed under immense stress for the past three months,” Y CEO Susannah Le Bron said.
“Nothing is more important than our volunteers’ mental and physical health at this intense time, so we are inviting volunteer firies and their families to take a much deserved break.”
Volunteer firies do not need to be Y members for free admission. Partners and children of firies attending along with their loved one will also be admitted for free to 21 of our recreation facilities until Feb 29.
